Keep in mind that most of the difference in how easy to blow clarinets are
is in how well they are maintained. An R-13 with a leaky pad will be
harder to play than a Chinese plastic clarinet in good repair. Make sure
you are comparing apples to apples. A few dollars spent at the repair shop
might be all you really need, and you can save your money for a really NICE
clarinet later instead of making a lateral move from one intermediate to
another.
