Kimber--

Based on what I've read, it pathetic that you are stuck in your ways at age
13. You are TOOOOO young to really even know what life is all
about...because you haven't really lived a life. I won't question your
views, as they are those of a teenager, but be aware that this list includes
individuals of all ages, and many professional clarinetists and educators.

I don't expect you to believe me, but I can say with some degree of
certainity that your strong-willed views will be tempered as you get older
and mature. I can speak with some authority on that, as I am a middle-aged
old fart with usually strong opinions.

A tradsnob is a TRADitionSNOB...rather, I am stuck in my ways... ;) It's a
funny word we use when my classes get together...and no, I don't think it's
a lot of blather. The entire reason I wrote that was so that I didn't have
to get bi***y to people. You're right though, it doesn't concern a lot of
clarinet. Butin a way it does. I never openly stated it, but I have a
question and was trying to find the answer. Is a clarinetist more likely to
enjoy classic rock ro oppose it, because most rock doesn't involve the
clarinet. I mean, is a drummer more likely to like it, or a clarinetist. So
far I think the majority doesn't like it, but what does everyone else think?

shouldn't be so quick to assume I was stompiong on others oponions. I hate
people who do that, with a passion. I have to admit, I am a bit of a
tradsnob when it comes to music and such, but I am open minded enough to
look at things from more than one presepective. I was being sarcastic, but
when I got the impression that people were being, well, nasty towards what I
had to say. So, I went on the defensive. The only reason I am bothering to
explain myself is because I don't want anyone to get the wrong impression of
me. I am incredibly friendly, really a nice person. So.....
