Hmmm. Well, maybe. Or not. I'd suggest that you might want to look at
why you do or don't like certain bands or tunes, and that sharing
answers to those would help me understand what your views really are.
For example:

1. Why is disliking a Led Zeppelin tune blasphemous (from your
perspective)?

2. Why do you like Zeppelin? What bands do you dislike, and why?

3. Is Jimmy Page a guitar genius, a hack, or both? Who is a better
guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore or Yngwie Malmsteen? Why? Which one is a
better musician? Why? What about Eddie Van Halen? What about Hendrix?

4. What do you think about so-called prog-rock bands like Yes, King
Crimson, Starcastle, Renaissance, Dream Theater? Why do you like them?
What do you dislike?

I spent part of my college years in a rock band, playing guitar. I've
played Stairway A LOT (even had a 6-12 doubleneck to play it on, which
was fun). I happen to enjoy the tune, but it's been beaten to death, as
have many other great songs. I've also played a lot of Deep Purple and
Rush tunes. These days, though, when I listen to guitar, I am just as
likely to pick up Pat Metheny or Al Dimeola as one of the classic rock
bands. (And I don't have nearly enough time to practice guitar any
more.)

Think about those. Come up with some answers, and I'll provide mine
(except, perhaps, for #1!).

[Sorry, I recognize that this is a bit off-topic WRT clarinet, but
analogous discussions could be held about composers or clarinet players
as well...]
