Subj: [kl] music centuries before your time?!?!
Date: Tue, 23 Jul 2002 11:07:26 -0400

?!?!?! Weren't you arguing that Stairway to Heaven was timeless? I was 17
when it was released. How old were you? Can't Mozart be timeless also?
Guess what? The chords that Jimmy Page and Robert Plant use are the same
ones that Mozart used (though admittedly, he used a few more). Though our
tastes vary considerably, my 13 year old daughter also likes The Marriage of
Figaro. She also like Bjork. What does this show about her age?

PS If you're serious about clarinet playing, you'd best reconcile yourself
to Mozart.

If you want to listen to music centuries before your time, that's fine, it's
your thing. But it's just showing your age...
