Many thanks to Ken Shaw for explaining thoroughly and clearly the
functions of the keywork on older clarinets, in spite of me describing
them incorrectly - the doughnut key, as Ken said, is on the l.h. middle
finger, not the third finger. Also, it seems that I was mistaken in
thinking that the tab on the l.h. first finger on the Albert was a
touchplate - apparently, it's just there to hold the pad, not to be
fingered. Now if I can just get over bumping that stinkin' r.h. sliver
key that's more like a banana key...
