I think the piece I hate the most is Hail the Conquering Hero....we played
that everyday for a few months to get ready for our concert, and I think it
just sounds horrible no matter how hard we tried...no matter how much
control you have of squeaking, this song is 90% high octave, and so after a
while your embochure starts to slip, even on the pros, and you sqeak...and
in our band, when you sqeak, everyone knows who it was and when. It's
horrible! That and the teacher would run around humming it all day
long!!!!All this for ONE concert, and we probably won't play it ever again,
for like 5 years...lol
