It's certainly not a Mozart.

In one of my windbands we played "Young Mozart" and "Young Verdi", wind =
band arrangemants of so-called arrangements of a Mozart Klaviersonata =
and of music by Verdi, made by Tom Parker. In my opinion either of them =
is even a lot worse than the Instant Marches and Instant Concerto taken =
together. And almost as horrible as "Egerlander" or "Tiroler" music.

The Young musicians are just a lot of brillantine, as all Tom Parker =
music in my opinion is. Tom Parker doesn't even let you guess the =
underlying piece is so beautiful. When my son started to study the =
Mozart Sonata I first could not bear it, but fortunately our piano (now: =
his) is an electric Yamaha (and a very good one), so he studied it with =
ear phones. When he had masterded it (he is an amateur, and as to the =
piano mainly an autodidact) it was quite a different piece, in a =
distance resembling the Tom Parker music (or rather the other way =
around). When my neighbour plays -- or rather: rapes -- Chopin, I can =
understand it: it is beautiful music and remains nice even in such poor =
versions. But how can a musician consciously rape Mozart or Verdi in =
such a way?
