Yeah, they do, I use them and love them myself! But won't correct the
problem of biting, they'll just prevent the mouthpiece from being destroyed
by it. I have had and still have the same problem myself, and for me the
clue is to check periodically (during practice) how "high" my pressure on
the mouthpiece is. I do this by removing the mouthpiece from the clarinet
and blow in it with the aim of hitting (and maintaining!) one note: the
high c (c3) on the clarinet. If (when!) I'm able to do this I have the
correct air-stream and the correct pressure on the mouthpiece to be able to
play as correct and relaxed as possible. It has helped me tremendously and
may also help you! but I'm sure a lot of you others on the list have great
suggestions too! :)
