Robert--

The purpose of doctoral dissertations, theses, and research papers is to see
what you can do in the area of research. What interests you? Have you
reviewed available theses and/or dissertations to see what has already been
rwritten as a process of elimination?

Subject: [kl] Scholarly Research in English Clarinet Music

I'm looking for ideas as to a topic in English Clarinet Literature. In
particular, I am interested in the music of Charles Villiers Stanford,
Gerald Finzi and Malcom Arnold. I would sincerely appreciate any
suggestions from any knowledgeable and scholarly individuals who are aware
of any blank spots in the history surrounding these individuals and this
genre of music history.

The ideas I am seeking are for a doctoral research paper/dissertation?

Thanks,

Robert
