Well, to both Kevins (Fay and Callahan) just be glad you are not playing in
the orchestra that I play in. The conductor just showed me the repetoire
list for next season. It has some really good material, but there is an all
Gershwin concert (which I personally don't mind), but on another concert, I
will be performing that wonderful masterpiece "Clarinet Candy" (ugh, I'm with
you Kevin). I tried to think of smething else to suggest, but he already has
Clarinet Candy in his head. He wants to play something light and American.
Anybody got any ideas? I have never played the piece, but I have heard it.
It's certainly not a Mozart.
