I've used these ligatures for the past several years without any problem =
with reed stability, but the last one I bought (a few months ago) had the =
problem you describe. As far as I can tell, it is the screwhead they are =
now using - it isn't as tapered as the old ones were and it gets in the =
way. I solved the problem by taking the head off the old ligature and =
putting it on the new one. =20
