It goes without saying the playing was excellent, even though some of the
works from the earlier musical periods aren't my cup of tea. The Candide
overture was great. What a stupendous orchestra to be able to play it
without a conductor, although the concertmaster did get up and cue in a
section near the end. It was very eerie too. The lack of a conductor gave
me a feeling of the "missing man" formation in flight or the riderless
horse at certain funerals.

Its good to see too that Stanley Drucker is not aging! : D
