Yamaha makes an electronic metronome that is shaped like a hockey puck.
It's advantage is that it is nearly unbreakable. It costs about $15, I
think. It has adjustable volume, including no sound at all (just a
flashing red light). It also can emit A@-----.

However, you should know that many full-function tuners include a
metronome function. If you don't have a tuner yet, you may want to
think about spending a few dollars more and buying both functions at
once.
