In "Just You Wait, Professor Higgins" (original Broadway cast
recording), there is a brief march just before the drummer 'shoots'
Professor Higgins. It brings a tremendous sense of musical
'resolution', more than just a V7-I resolution.

I'm confused by (I think) the key change --- or perhaps it's a
combination of key change and/or resolution of the melody and/or deft
orchestration.

Does anyone know the show well enough to give me a complete explanation
of what's happening here?

Thank you,
Bill Wright
