Wow - I'll never complain about the condition of a similar vintage Buescher
Tenor I bought at an auction again. Thanks for the detailed description of
the restore and the playing experience. Just for kicks, I did some searches
on E-bay and came up with:

A Conn Bass Sax!

A Contrabass Sax (an octave below a Bari)!!!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=893506910
And for the truly twisted, a contrabass sarrusaphone!?!?!

if anyone's interested.

<bass sax>

It's a silver-plated 1926 C. G. Conn. .... After about 15 or 20 more years
of sitting
unplayed in a garage, the case and sax were full of dead bugs, dirt and
mouse
debris....>
