Mr. Jackson continuously posts religious messages on this list, often as
the final sentence of his postings about the clarinet. In the case of
the quoted material, it was his only contribution. There was no
clarinet content at all. Therefore, I perceive Mr. Jackson as foisting
his religious messages on a group, some of whom find those messages
inappropriate.

I wrote Mr. Jackson privately so as not to cause him public
embarassment, saying that there are those on this list who find
religious messages of any kind offensive. While I respect Mr. Jackson's
right to believe as he wishes, I asked him politely to stop giving
klarinet the benefit of his religious expressions. He did not respond
to me and, if this message conveys the meaning that I am giving it,
apparently he has chosen not to do stop activity that is offensive to me
and, perhaps, some other members.

Therefore, the matter now gets public. And I am asking the moderator to
inquire of Mr. Jackson why he feels it necessary to present unwanted
material that is unrelated to the purpose of this list on it. In the
past when people of similar interests posted such messages, I left the
list and did not return until that person left the list or those
messages stopped. I got that question answered by getting back on the
list, checking for a few days, and then getting off if those messages
were still present. It is no big deal if I leave because I don't
contribute much in any case. But I won't stay on a list where people of
such single mindedness insist on presenting me and others with unwanted
religious messages.

The matter is now in the moderator's hands. And if there is no change
in Mr. Jackson's behavior, I will bid you a fond farewell until he gets
off the list.
