I use contact cement, thin coat on the back of the cork (the part that
goes against the glue on the tennon) and a thin coat on the tennon. Let
them dry completely (10 mins.), then carefully and firmly press the cork
into the desired position. Putting it in the wrong position will mean
starting over with new cork as the old cork will probably be to damaged
to reuse.
