Sometimes a 'slippery' ligature invites you to overtighten the ligature
in order to keep the reed & ligature in place.

One solution is to place a small piece of tape (clear tape in order not
to look oddball, or a small piece of clear mouthpiece protector film ---
not the thicker black patch) somewhere on the mouthpiece in order to
give the ligature a soft surface to hold onto. Then you don't need to
tighten so much.

Cheers,
Bill

What is the purpose of a language? =A0 To be beautiful or wise or
pleasurable in itself? Or to describe many different things ---
beautiful or not --- to other people? This is why the question of
whether music is a 'language' is relevant.
