I switched to a rubber ligature that's suited me quite well, by Rovner I
believe. However, I bought it because my metal one is damaged. In fact, I
just put it on and tested it, not only did it not keep the reed tight, it
also damaged the bottom of the reed. I'd need a metal ligature in good
condition to really test. Still, the Rovner has done well for me.
