Different folks, different strokes. As a child in the early 1940s, I
would go the the concerts of the NY Phil. and I always found the sight
and sound of players warming up to be one of the most enjoyable parts of
the concert. It created such a terrific sense of excitement for me.

I recognize that others might find such behavior to be interruptive, but
it wasn't for me. It was the best part of the event from my
perspective.
