I'll stop after this post because after all, drug use is not the subject of
the list, but random drug testing of students is a disgusting invasion of
privacy that goes completely beyond the reasonable: the lack of trust in
students that such a policy indicates is likely to be far-reaching and
extremely damaging.

It is possible to address the issue of drug use in schools without resorting
to such extreme measures. If a school really believes it has such a serious
drug problem, then there are probably other, deeper, issues that should be
addressed rather than putting students through such a degrading trial.
