Neil,

Players (even professionals) aren't always honest with themselves or to
those they speak to about practice. Players that are "successful" are
usually practicing enough to get the job done at the required standard (self
imposed or otherwise), even if they tell you that they don't have time to
practice. And of course, some players can get the job done at a top
professional standard with little practice....others work for hours each day
to accomplish the same task. Hope this helps. Luck of the draw.....
