And I'd say it even stronger. You don't stand a hope in hell unless you
understand what is required, *judged only by the output*, to do your job
well.

Which is why questions about 'what it's necessary to do' *judged by the
input*, need to be shouted at. If you're asking those questions, you're
looking in the wrong direction, with your head in a dark place.

The question of what work you need to do can only be answered by trying,
and comparing what comes out with what you know needs to come out.
People are excellent because they have high standards for themselves,
not just because they work x number of hours a day.

The good news is that the work you need to do may be less than you
think. And more importantly, *you'll* know if it isn't. (It's almost
certain to be less than what *some* of the b*****s out there say you
have to do:-)
