Jeremy -

I'm 68, and I have been taking lessons since 1997. I laid off after high
school from 1951 until 1985, then began playing in a community band. For
whatever its value, my experience is that focused practice adds to your
technical speed NO MATTER WHEN YOU DO IT. I'll never be a virtuoso, but I
am getting better with practice, and I intend to go on getting better for at
least another 15 years.
