WOW!

Thanks for clueing me into this. I am seeing now that I would be
overworking myself. I usually give myself no more than 4 hours of internet
weekly because of the schedule I have already. It is summer and school is
out so I have "some" spare time.

This does not include family, ministry, personal recreation/activities and
the likes.

HHHmmmm................ I am going to careful reconsider purchasing those
instruments and becoming proficient on each.

Thanks for this tidbit of wisdom!

Luby, I empathize with wanting lots of toys --- he who ends up with the
most toys, wins --- but here are two other points to consider:

How much practice time is available to you each day? Half-a-dozen
instruments played well.... Do you have 6 hrs/day (and the chops to do
it)? Some skills are transferrable between instruments, and others are
not.

For the instrument that you already own, how long did you experiment
with mouthpieces, ligatures, reeds, and barrels until you found the
setup for it that you like best? Multiply that by 6 or more.....

Cheers,
Bill

What is the purpose of a language? To be beautiful or wise or
pleasurable in itself? Or to describe many different things ---
beautiful or not --- to other people? This is why the question of
whether music is a 'language' is relevant.
