Actually I ask because I am 24 years old and am back to doing technical
studies after not doing them since HS/early college on clarinet. My
strength in HS was technique, and I feel like I can see small gains
weekly, mainly in evenness. :-) It is a nice feeling.

Roughly, I would say: As long as you're going to live. But, if
you're quite young right now, I'd suggest you go for it like
there's no tomorrow. If you're middle age, I'd suggest you go
for it like there's no tomorrow, and if you're very old, go
for it like.....................
