Forest,
How do you get a Wiseman through the airline check-in since the case is
larger than allowed? I have a "short" Wiseman bass case but have not flown
with it yet. What have been others experiences with airlines and bass
cases?

Fits in the overhead and does have padded backpack straps.
My bass to C with double troughs is one of the "newer" smaller models and it
also fits in every overhead I've encountered.
