Around 30 years ago, I played on a similar NY Woodwind Co. mouthpiece
for 6 months or so.

I can therefore vouch for the fact that this particular mouthpiece would
be an authentic match for the Buffet (Glotin?) reeds dating from the
same period that were purchased by Mr Sellmansberger via a friend "from
the widow of Hans Moennig (legendary Philadelphia-based woodwind
repairman/acoustician)", and offered by him to the list in November
2001.

These reeds, still unplayed, were found in Moennig's workshop, and might
even have come from Mr Sellmansberger with appropriate documentation to
that effect.

It seems to me that whoever bought the reeds should try for the
mouthpiece, too.
