In the article that Chastine pointed us to (see below), David Pino writes,
after advice about how to practice it, "Double tonguing has now been
accomplished over the entire range of the instrument, since it will be quite
easy now to extend it even beyond high G. You are now ready for the printed
page." I'm not very good at it myself, but my guess is that Pino's
on-the-reed double tonguing works better on high notes than the usual
"ta-ka-ta-ka" method does.
