Quite alright Ann(i)e, although the person to whom you're writing might be
a little disappointed that you misspelled their name when they were care-
ful enough to sign their note with it. Oh, and you also misspelled "mis-
spelled" but we'll let that one go... ;-) At any rate, the Vade Mecum (I
don't know how it's spelled either, actually) is indeed an excellent and
widely used resource for the development of even (as opposed to odd, I
suppose) finger technique.
