Guess you've been out awhile, Karl! Back in 1985 the Army did away with all
but the E4 Specialist rank. Corporal E4 and all the rest through Sergeant
Major E9 are now Non Commissioned Officers. I know for I "are" one. Some
officers do play in their bands, depending upon the situation....we have two
Warrants in mine and they both play in various groups to include the Concert
and Drill bands. You can hardly keep a musician from performing when he
gets the chance! By the way, we need more Clarinetists and French Horn
players!!

P.S. Anyone ever heard of Tim Clark in Columbus, Ohio? I've been told he
is a fine clarinet repairman. Also, if anyone knows of a good repairman in
the Lima, Ohio area I would appreciate the info.
Thanks,
Jerry
