That is interesting, as I had always heard differently. What set up of
Opperman's did Wright use? Speaking to anyone who knew Wright, I was told
that he had a few old Chedevilles that he used. I know that the late Everett
Matson worked extensively with him on his mouthpieces. He was also reputed
to use Moennig barrels, although I recently spoke to a repair person he used
and was told that in his later years, he used standard barrels from time to
time. Pamela Weston's book as well as articles over the years in The
Clarinet document his set up.
