Subj: [kl] Transpose from CD

This is a little off-topic, but I'm in a hurry. Is anyone aware of software
that will read a CDA track (or a WAV if I rip the track to my hard drive)
and, without altering anything else, transpose the entire thing to a
different key? I'm compiling a CD of portions of several tracks from Hello
Dolly! to model some vocal excerpts our students will be performing to
audition for a school production of the show. The problem is the original
Broadway cast recording, which the rental agency provided with the other
materials, is of Carol Channing singing in her basso range. The agency
provides transposed versions of the music (with orchestrations) for use by
normal human sopranos. I want to avoid the girls' trying to model on
Channing's key when the printed music they've been provided (and which we'll
be using in the production) is a fourth higher. In addition the boys' parts,
when they sing with Dolly, have also been transposed. I want to rip the
portion of the needed tracks from the Broadway CD and move them up to the
written pitch in the transposed versions without losing the vocal, the words
or the orchestration (so converting first to MIDI is out).

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
