You can get it less dark by using a white or yellow Vito Dazzler. ;-)

Actually, my current (this month, anyway) setup is Selmer-Woodwind
K10M-Bonade-M. Lurie. That applies to my #1 horn only. I also have my old
Balanced Tone up and running, and for it the formula is
Selmer-Vandoren-Selmer expanding metal-Vandoren. That is replacing my
older jazz setup of Bundy 1400-Selmer-Luyben-Legere. The new setup is a
bit louder and less buzzy. The inherent flatness in the altissimo (at
least for me) that I find characteristic of Vandoren mouthpieces cancels
the rather sharp altissimo of that particular clarinet perfectly. The B46
provides more volume and more free-blowing characteristics that the
B45. Finally I have a use for that 25-year-old space-filler!
