I encourage everyone to hear this cd. I was involved in the early stages of
this project, as Larry came over to my place and listened to all the Bonade
stuff that I have. I am grateful to him for using his valuable time on such a
worthwhile project.

More importantly, Larry got the amazing transfer engineer H. Ward Marston to
do the 78 transfers from Marston's own 78 record collection which is
comprehensive in terms of Philadelphia Orchestra. I think this is the best
opportunity we are going to have to hear, as much as possible, what Bonade
sounded like.

Anyone who is a fan of Robert Marcellus, Clark Brody, Anthony Gigliotti,
Mitchell Lurie, Iggy Gennusa or Robert McGinnis (or the long list of other
distinguished pupils) will want to hear the miraculous playing of their
revered teacher. The easy virtuosity and ringing sound almost unique in its
era.

And you will hear the truly miraculous playing of the Philadelphia Orchestra
during the Stokowski era and the excellent Cleveland Orchestra under
Rodzinski. A bargain at any price.
