Aw, shucks! Thanks for the kind comment. (Be glad the novel I wrote at age
9 never got published. But you won't be half as glad as I am.)

I love the Bill & Neil show, and I hope other people will pick up the text
thread of Tony Pay's idea, too. Round-robin short stories are a staple of
writers' workshops and loads of fun if several people play. If my
continuation is too long and too based on mythlore for this group, it's
designed to drop right out of the weave if people would rather take the story
in a different direction altogether. (Since I picked up and ran with Tony's
hint about somebody bodging around with time, people can tuck my end of the
thread off into Parallel Universeland, forget all about it and carry on from
some other aspect that interests you more....) If someone does continue with
Freisberg and Hobb, though, I hope people will quote a short excerpt instead
of the whole thing, or else we really will be abusing the bandwidth.
