Subj: [kl] Wintergreen Festival?

Hi, list, I was wondering if any of you have ever heard of or havd had
any experience with the Wintergreen Music Festival in the Blue Ridge
mountains in Virginia?

I was offered a spot for this summer's festival by the coordinator, as
the clarinetist they had dropped out and I was recommended to fill the
vacancy. It sounds really exciting, especially since I was majorly
bummed about not having anywhere to play this summer. The coordinator is
a pianist from St Louis, and got my name from a SLSO clarinetist
colleague of hers (from Tina Ward-how cool is that??!! Not to mention
really nice of Tina). She wants to play different chamber pieces like
the Bartok Contrasts (which I'm salivating over, but would need the
music now to start learning it). Plus, I'll be playing with the festival
orchestra in an opera the last week (gawd, I absolutely ADORE playing in
operas!!!). Anybody ever been there or heard of it before?

Thanks for any and all input! I'd like to get as much info as possible
before dedicating to it (although I'll probably definitely say YES).=20
