I have successfully resisted the impulse to fabricate a shaggy dog story
out of this. [Be thankful!]. But as a result of Neil Leupold's post
about not expecting too much music too soon, in my mind's eye, I see a
pyshciatric [he's intuxicated] patient sitting in a London pub.
The fellow is explaining to the barkeep that his psychiatrust has
recommended that he write music in order to relieve his anxiety and
guiilt feelings.
The fellow declares: "<hic!> The doc said I should write a few measures
every day. Yeah <hic!> I should do a bar a day. That's <hic!> what
he said. And now he's angry at me for drinking too much. It's not
fair. A fellow <hic!> just can't win!"
