Further to Lacy's comments, I think there is a trend in business to look for
employees who can be creative problem solvers. The music background can
complement the business background by enhancing your ability to be creative
and "think outside the box". Ensemble & chamber performance teaches team
skills--also good for business. As well, some background in business is
good for any aspiring musician. After all, you will likely have to market
yourself and may even find yourself planning a concert or concert series in
the future...business skills will certainly help you there.
