I don't agree. Some high school bands are just not that good and the
students get dissatisfied and drop out. And I've lived in some smaller
communities with community bands and we NEEDED the high schoolers just to
get a decent sized band. And from a parent's point of view, I really
enjoyed those occasions when I and my daughter were in the band together.
