Yes, I agree. There's no point in kids and teachers wasting each other's
time if the kids really don't want to be there. It's interesting, though,
that people kept right on using that thread header, complete with the
quotation marks, as the discussion veered away. There's been some grumpy,
"Kids today!" stereotyping and ritual bellyaching on this thread, not from
you, but from a few teachers who sound fed up with teaching.
