Perhaps I don't understand the definitions, but doesn't Oliver Seely
deal primarily with 'sampled music' ??? He has certainly discussed his
music on this list.
The same is true for Mr. Silveira (sp?). I believe that his MIDI
version of "Tico Tico" has been discussed and praised here, hasn't it?
(among other pieces built from samples)
I personally don't agree that our sole criterion should be "Only What
Has Been Discussed Previously", but still..... sampling and electronic
music and blends thereof (Libby Larsen) *have* been discussed here many
times --- if only to agree that electronic samples will never replace
acoustic music, so there's no need to ostracise electronics in the first
place.
