Have you tried other mouthpiece/reed combinations? They can make a big
difference in upper register response.

Also, make sure your mouthpiece is very tight on the neck -- any leakage
there will play havoc with those notes -- replace the neck cork if
necessary. I find the high notes pop out much more easily (and in tune) when
the mouthpiece is pretty far down on the neck.

Just some thoughts.
