That's about my thoughts on the subject. ;-)
Knowing how a clarinet sounds doesn't mean it's not useful to be able to set
up a decent synth version of your new composition. For starters, it's
essential if you want to make a tape of a large-scale composition to send
anywhere. And I won't even get into the issue of testing out "live"
electronic effects...
