I spent a couple of minutes consulting four musical and biographical
dictionaries, plus Google. Lorell=A0Girard's question appears not to
be frivolous or lazy. I presume there is a reference somewhere, but
the reference is not 'just a click away'.

For example, Google lists a number of sources for Kummer sheet music,
but nothing (that I could find easily) about his biography or
musicology.
