Let me pose a question about mouthpieces and mouthpiece facings:

Two mouthpieces, made from exactly the same blank, substantially the same internally, same length of facing, but one has a closer tip, .98 mm instead of 1.04 mm.

With the same reed, which mouthpiece has less resistance and blows "more freely"?
