You took the words right out of my embouchure!!
There is a lot more to this subject than any of us want to get into. In
regards to the clarinet there is no such thing, especially when playing
with other instruments, as perfectly in tune 12ths (unless you have
developed an automatic response from your embouchure and breath support
for each given note and for each given instrument family you are
momentarily playing with (or should I say against).

Note: I recently tried several of Greg Smiths mouthpieces on my Selmer
9 (1964) and 4 out of 5 of them performed near miracles in the
intonation category. Those of you complaining about Selmer intonation
should give Greg a try.
