Nanci, we have had many threads about this in the past. The truth is that all clarinets are a series of compromises and will have intonation descrepancies within itself, or in playing with others.

It is the job of the clarinetist to play yhr instrument "in tune".

My suggestion: buy a cheap tuner, and with the clarinet completely warmed up, tune to A@-----.

This is the beginning, the knowledge of what your instrument wants to play of its own accord.

Check back in the sneezy archives, there are many posts regarinf "playing in tune" and much wisdom there. Way too much stuff to regurgitate all over again.

I play regularly on a Selmer series 10 G clarinet. If you want to correspond off list, you are welcome to do so.
