Your English is excellent. Welcome to Klarinet.

<><> Many years ago , we had to know poems by heart, at school, and they
remain somewhere in the brain...

My assignment in middle schol was The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner, all
of it. My granddaughter, by comparison, has never been asked to
memorize a single poem.

It is an ancient Mariner,
And he stoppeth one of three.
"By thy long grey beard and glittering eye,
Now wherefore stoppest thou me?"

[I wonder how close I came?]

.....anyway, can someone here translate the poem? I recognize the
color names, but that's about all.

Thank you,
Bill

If I had Stadler's mouthpiece, would I play better? Or do I need his
ligature also? Or perhaps he and I are different persons? If I had
Mozart's pen, would I compose better?
