I was afraid that I would need to skip my practice today. My
granddaughters asked for a 2-story castle in the backyard, complete with
moat and drawbridge. In line with our current discussion of
cooperation among neural pathways, I played a CD of "Pictures At An
Exhibition" for them instead, and I suggested they imagine the castle.
Having heard the music once, they asked me to play it several times more
and they provided their own dragon. (Mature fire-breathing dragons are
in short supply this time of year.) The 'chicks' were innocent
children who beguiled the dragon not to eat them, of course.
